Don has been in the hospital, diagnosed with valley fever which is quite debilitating and treatment is expected by the doctors to last for 1 to 2 years. He's very weak and the fungus has moved from his lungs through his blood stream to both knees and his right shoulder and has become extremely painful. He's on a rather strict diet which is not to his liking. Milk products, ice cream, sugar, etc are not on his diet.
He had a nuclear stress test this past week (May 18) and it showed some heart abnormalities. The cardiologist scheduled a heart catheterization but had to cancel it since Don is not on Plavix, due to the valley fever, and he won't do the catheterization without the Plavix.
Don continues to remind everyone that he's not looking to doctors or medicine anyway, but to the Lord. He hasn't finished his course, so he's not worried; however, being as weak as he is, he can't make any ministry trips until the Lord intervenes.
Juanita has also been in extreme pain due to some kind of vascular problems and something else called meniscus due to a knee injury.
Don and Juanita would appreciate your prayers over these issues.
